Introduction Time!

So I was sitting in my room, being bored as usual, and thought I should introduce myself to everyone. Not like there actually is an everyone yet, but it's worth a shot, right? Hi, I'm Olivia December! I'm 19 years old and a freshman in college. My birthday was actually just a few days ago, on New Year's Eve. So yes, I was born in December. December is my middle name, not my last name, just so you know. And it's not a coincidence that December is my middle name and the month I was born in. My mom's favorite month is December, and she was really jazzed about me being born at that time. Though I almost didn't make it in time, seeing as I was born on New Year's Eve. She would've still made my middle name be December even if I'd been born in January though, she's weird like that.

I love to read and write; they pretty much rule my life. Most of what I read is YA sci fi and fantasy, and write the same. Scott Westerfeld, Maggie Steifvater, and L.J. Smith are a few of my favorite authors. I'm most likely going to be talking about what I read a lot here, so be prepared for many book reviews! And if I feel so inclined, I might even treat you to a sample of my fiction writing. But we'll see about that. I love thunderstorms. There's nothing better than sitting next to an open window during the summer when it's raining heavily and thundering. (Kids, don't try this at home! Sitting next to an open window during a thunderstorm is dangerous! I'm a professional, so that keeps me safe.) Sometimes I'll even go outside during a thunderstorm because it's just so cool and I can't resist it. (Again, don't try this at home kids!) I also love painting ceilings. I don't know how exactly how it started, but one day I just thought it'd be nice to look at something interesting while I was laying in bed, staring at the ceiling. So I went into the garage and grabbed a couple of cans of spraypaint and went at it. The result was quite abstract...but it looks great!
